Meet Coach Missie
The M & M SWEETIES are under the instruction of MISSIE LISS. Missie has won 2500 awards in 15 years of competitive twirling. Missie captured one of the most prestigious awards in 1981, "Jr. Miss Majorette of America".

- 1981 - First Place Talent awarded in the Miss Teen Pageant
- 1980 - 1982 - 6th in the Nation in Solo Baton
In 1984, Missie graduated from John Carroll High School and was offered 2 fully paid baton twirling scholarships from Boston & Iowa Colleges.
"During my competitive years, I practiced everyday, except for Sunday, had lessons weekly and went to ballet practice every week. I had fun, but worked and gave up some other everyday activities. I cannot thank my family enough for all they gave me and did for me. I accomplished so much and achieved so many wonderful goals. I traveled to many places and met a substantial amount of baton twirling friends. The experiences I had growing up will never be forgotten. I love to be able to give the girls the same experience that I had when growing up." - Missie
Instead, Missie chose to stay here in Port St Lucie and begin her teaching career. She has been teaching baton twirling locally for over 35 years as a licensed teacher and judge in the NTBA twirling field.

Several M & M Sweeties students have achieved many titles and have been featured majorettes for the Florida State Seminoles, Mississippi State, and University of South Florida.

Missie is happily married and mom to three boys, Tyler, Taylor and, Jeffrey.
